The Cruiser is a long, wide, low Large Ship featuring an open upper deck and lower deck. It has 10 cannons per side, all located in the lower deck. The Cruiser has 2 anti-sail swivels at the rear, and 2 normal swivels per side.
Cruisers are best suited to a long-range sniping playstyle, bombarding enemy ships with their 20 cannons from a distance in highly damaging volleys, while your team's Small Ships provide protection, to dish out huge amounts of damage. Average maneuverability, lack of cover, and fairly fast sink rate make Cruiser ineffective at ramming or winning grapple fights. If any ships attempt to board Cruiser, fleeing while using the rear anti-sails to slow the enemy can be an effective option, or you can just turn and shoot them as they approach.
